Yes. Baby's first Christmas and we managed to get a tree! A free tree!! A free live tree!!! It's a bit Charlie Brown but Sam found the best tree in miles. I'm proud of his hunting skills. We didn't remember the camera but we will have pics of the house very soon. Then you can see what our daughter is enjoying for Christmas. She loves the lights. As far as I'm concerned, this is enough for me.
We are enjoying the season with the sights...
(tree, boughs above the cabinets, lights above the cabinets and in the tree, candles, two tiered wreath chandelier I made today hanging above the table)
...and smells of home ...
(pine trees, mulling spices, soups, teas, gingerbread men, etc).
Also, as horribly opposed as I once was to her, Martha Stewart has redeemed herself in my opinion, just by giving me cheap as free ideas for holidays. We even used an idea from her website to make favors for our wedding. The chandelier was from her website and so was the gingerbread man recipe.
