April Fun!

Maelle in Mission Creek Park

Elinor's first and only forward carry experience to date.  She was so overstimulated afterwards that I decided she was not ready to do this again for a while. It was really cute though.  While she was being carried, she was perfectly happy... She was squealing at the sun streaming through the branches and watching Maelle play and hike with us.  Definitely a fascinating world out there beyond mom's face.

Maelle was playing with her playmobile set and Elinor just couldn't get enough of it.  She would flop her hand down on the table, because she couldn't control it enough to set it where she wanted to, and then she would inch-worm her fingers across the table towards the toys.  I put a baby friendly man closest so she could go after him.

Red peppers are Maelle's new favorite snack.  She will sneak a whole one and eat it like an apple.  I have to remind her that they are for the whole family to eat, not just her, and that she has to ask first.  I guess there are worse things she could be sneaking to eat.

Maelle, making a necklace for Sawyer.

Exploring grass for the first time.

Sam, holding Elinor in our park.  She was still looking at that grass.  Pretty exciting.

Maelle and I.

Elinor is always very interested in whatever Maelle happens to be doing.  Very normal, I'm sure, but it's fun to watch them.  I think Elinor would just love to grab whatever Maelle has and shove it in her mouth.

  1. I so desperately wish I was there to see my Little Joy growing up. My poor Auntie heart aches to know her like I knew Maelle at this age. You have two precious daughters, my dear! I love all of you and I am counting down the days until our reunion. R
